Title: The Woman in Suite 11
Author: Ruth Ware
Narrator: Imogen Church
Like everyone else back in 2016, I loved The Woman in Cabin 10 and recommended it to everyone I knew. Since then, I have read almost all of Ruth Ware‘s books and would consider myself a fan. When I heard that she was releasing a sequel (10 years later) to The Woman in Cabin 10, I had mixed emotions. I was excited to see what Lo had been up to, but was also nervous to see if it would live up to the hype and be as good as the first one.
The Setup: Lo Blackwood’s Next Mystery
It has been a couple of years since travel journalist Lo Blackwood last wrote an article, and when she gets an invitation to stay at a luxury hotel just off the coast of Lake Geneva, she can’t say no. Within the first day of her adventure, suspicious things start happening to her, and she begins to question why she was really invited. Before we know it, Lo is back in the middle of a new mystery, trying to not only save herself but also wondering who she can truly trust and depend on. Just when you think you know the ending, a shocking twist keeps you glued to the story until the very last page.

Narration That Pulls You In
I was happy to hear that Imogen Church was the narrator, as she has narrated Ware‘s other books, and I have always enjoyed her performances. She delivers a range of voices and accents with emotion, often making you wonder: Can we trust this character? Her performance makes you feel like you are right there along for the adventure.
Ware’s Signature Style
Ruth Ware gives so much detail in her writing, especially when it comes to describing senses and the atmosphere, that you can picture everything so clearly. You never know where she is going to go next with the story, and who doesn’t love a good plot twist!
So, does it live up to the hype of the first book? In my opinion, it definitely does. If you are looking for a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and is full of twists and turns, then you will want to make this one your next listen!
Adaptation News
If you were a fan of The Woman in Cabin 10, it is being adapted into a Netflix movie starring Keira Knightly, and is set to be released on October 10, 2025. Grab your popcorn and check it out to see how they brought this classic thriller to life!

Publisher Summary:
In this follow-up to #1 New York Times bestselling author Ruth Ware’s multi-million copy mega-hit The Woman in Cabin 10, Lo Blacklock returns to attend the opening of a luxury hotel, only to find herself in a white-knuckled race across Europe.
When the invitation to attend the press opening of a luxury Swiss hotel—owned by reclusive billionaire Marcus Leidmann—arrives, it’s like the answer to a prayer. Three years after the birth of her youngest child, Lo Blacklock is ready to reestablish her journalism career, but post-pandemic travel journalism is a very different landscape from the one she left ten years ago.
The chateau on the shores of Lake Geneva is everything Lo’s ever dreamed of, and she hopes she can snag an interview with Marcus. Unfortunately, he proves to be even more difficult to pin down than his reputation suggests. When Lo gets a late-night call asking her to come to Marcus’s hotel room, she agrees despite her own misgivings. She’s greeted, however, by a woman claiming to be Marcus’s mistress, and in life-or-death jeopardy.
What follows is a thrilling pursuit across Europe, forcing Lo to ask herself just how much she’s willing to sacrifice to save this woman…and if she can even trust her?
