Meet Crystel, Marketing Communications Manager at Audiobooks.com. We asked Crystel 5 big questions to help you get to know her and get an inside peek into our office life.

1. What are you listening to?

Right now I’m listening to The Last Negroes at Harvard by Kent Garrett. I’m about a third of the way through now and already it has proven to be such an insightful behind-the-scenes listen. I find it so interesting to hear about Harvard, student life there, and how it has changed (thankfully radically) over the past few decades, as well the unique perspective of the author from both a personal and cultural perspective.

2. What do you enjoy most about your job at Audiobooks.com?

Wow, honestly where do I start? My job at Audiobooks.com is truly my dream job! Firstly, a job that enables me to combine my love of books and my professional passion for marketing is pure gold.

Here at Audiobooks.com the sky is the limit in terms of its support for the Audiobooks.com family, both professionally and personally. It’s one of those companies where the tenures are long, the relationships are close, and every day is fun.

And while I’m sure that all the other department heads will challenge me for the title, which department could possibly be more fun than the one that gets to communicate our fabulous products and services to our awesome members, and continue to find more and more innovative ways to engage with them?

3. What makes you laugh the most?

As a mother of two young children, there’s no doubt that they are at the top of the list. As kids do, they say and do the most innocently funny and ridiculous things at sometimes the most embarrassing times. An easy second is my team of three here at Audiobooks.com. We find ways to laugh as a team every single day (sounds like a plug doesn’t it? They’ll pay me later!).

4. What is your go-to Karaoke song?

Dare I say, one of Whitney Houston’s classics. Can I sing like Whitney Houston? Not a lick! And don’t you just love us? The ones who take on the most challenging of songs so bravely and brazenly, when there is absolutely zero talent to embolden us, or explain quite why.

5. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Zoe Saldana, Kerry Washington, or Jennifer Connelly. Some wildly differing choices you say? Well, you see the caricature. Perhaps you can help me decide.
